Project team member Siniša Kušić, Ph.D participated in the 10th International Scientific and Professional Conference “Improving Life Quality of Children and Young People” held in Istanbul (Turkey) from 21 to 23 June 2019.
He presented a paper “School Volunteering Programmes in Service of Improving Life Quality of Young People” (co-authors Nadja Čekolj and Bojana Ćulum Ilić, Ph.D).

On June 6 and 7, 2019, Faculty of Teacher Education (University of Rijeka) hosted the international scientific conference “Educational Systems and Societal Changes: Challenges and Opportunities” (ESSCCO).
Project team member Nadja Čekolj presented a paper “School Volunteer Programs – Contemporary Approach in Education in Croatian High Schools”, co-authored with Bojana Ćulum Ilić.

Discovering the World of School Volunteering
The conference “Discovering the World of School Volunteering”, held on April 16th, was organized by the Delta Association, the SMART Association for Civil Society Development, the Prva riječka hrvatska gimnazija high school and the Primary School Vežica.
Project team member Bojana Ćulum Ilić moderated a panel discussion attended by students of Primary School Malinska-Dubašnica, Sanda Sušanj from the City of Rijeka’s Department of Education and Schooling, Bencic Youth Council and volunteer coordinator from Primary School Omišalj.

Project Meeting – Strategic Planning (Fužine, 2018)
Project team members participated in the strategic planning meeting on December 18th and 19th 2018 in Fužine, Croatia.
The team worked on the development of the conceptual framework of the project and the development of the expected scenario for Education for Sustainable Development in the Republic of Croatia 2030. A detailed plan of activities has been developed for the second project year.
The 4th Days of Educational Sciences
Nena Vukelić, a member of the project team, participated in the scientific conference 4th Days of Educational Sciences “The Educational System: a Confining and/or Stimulating Environment“, which was held on October 25th and 26th in Zagreb, Croatia. Nena Vukelić presented a paper “Future Teachers’ Sustainable Behavior” (co-authors Nena Rončević, Ph.D and Elena Cvitković).
